Maybe this is a new feature in Rom version 1.8 - can't remember that I saw such screen in the past.

Ich habe mal meine Speedy XF (Rom V1,8) und eine Floppy 2000 II (Rom V2,1) mal zusammen am Atari angeschlossen und ein wenig im Speedy-XF Auswahlmenu rumgespielt. Speedy-XF als D1 gebootet und mit der Select-Taste wählt man dann das zu bearbeitende Laufwerk aus (D1 oder D2). Wenn ich die Speedy-XF ausschalte und die Floppy 2000 zu D1 mache, dann hat das Auswahlmenu so seine Schwierigkeiten in der korrekten Erkennung. Anbei ein paar Screenshots, wenn man die Reset-Taste drückt wird alles korrekt initialisiert. Interessant was da schon so vorgesehen wurde und man hatte wohl vor noch "größere" Laufwerke/Dichten zu unterstützen.

Weiterhin habe ich noch gesehen dass in der Floppy 2000 V2.1 deutlich weniger Software im Rom ist (ist ja auch kleiner), bei mir ist das Copy2000 V2.41Q enthalten - auf dem Rom der Speedy-XF V1.8 ist das Copy2000 V2.51Q eingebunden.

Welches DOS sollte man eigentlich mit der Floppy2000 benutzen? Das Bibo-Dos der Speedy-XF macht zwar im Prinzip was es soll, aber das Formatieren wird erledigt aber der Atari "hängt fest" - nur ein Warm-Reset hilft.

I connected my Speedy XF (Rom V1,8) and a Floppy 2000 II (Rom V2,1) together to the Atari and played around a little in the Speedy XF selection menu. Speedy-XF is booted as D1 and then the drive to be processed is selected with the Select key (D1 or D2). If I switch off the Speedy-XF and turn the Floppy 2000 into D1, the selection menu has its difficulties in correctly recognizing it. Here are a few screenshots, when you press the reset button, everything is initialized correctly. Interesting what was already planned and they might have the plan to support even "bigger" drives / densities.

I also saw that there is significantly less software in the ROM in the Floppy 2000 V2.1 (it is also smaller), I have the Copy2000 V2.41Q - on the ROM of the Speedy-XF V1.8 is the Copy2000 V2 .51Q integrated.

Which DOS should I actually use with the Floppy2000? The Bibo-Dos of the Speedy-XF basically does what it should, formatting is done but the Atari "freezes" - only a warm reset helps.
